How to Play

Deal cards one at a time by tapping the deck. When the newest card matches the card three positions back:

Suit match The two middle cards are discarded.
Rank match All four cards are discarded.

When cards are discarded, the row collapses and new matches can form automatically. These chain reactions are called cascades. Clear all 52 cards to win. The odds are approximately 1 in 142.

Caboose Bonus

When you achieve a cascade of three or more in a single game, you unlock the Caboose Bonus round. The train icon at the bottom of the screen tracks your progress: each car fills as your cascade grows, and all three lock in at "All Aboard!" once you hit three.

After the game ends, cards from your discard pool are revealed. The number of cards revealed is based on your cascades that game — more cascades earn more cards, and at least one is always guaranteed to be playable. You place these cards into five poker hands: Flush, Straight, Straight Flush, Full House, and Five of a Kind. Each hand has five slots. Completing a hand triggers a reward wheel spin, then the hand resets so you can build it again.

You don't have to place every card. Tap a revealed card to select it, then tap a hand to place it. If the placement violates that hand's rules, the card snaps back. Tap "Lock In & Deal" when you're done.

Power Meter and Reward Wheel

The vertical bar on the right edge of the screen is the power meter. Every card you discard adds its face value to the meter (Ace = 1, face cards = 10). The meter carries across games. When it fills, the game pauses and you spin the reward wheel.

The wheel awards cosmetics (card backs and table surfaces) or power-ups. Every segment is a win. You also spin the wheel when you complete a poker hand in the Caboose Bonus.

Power-Ups

Power-ups are earned from the reward wheel, by completing achievements, or by watching an optional ad before a game. The power-up bar at the bottom of the screen shows your inventory. The in-app "How to Play" system (tap the ? icon) explains each one in detail.

Joker The next card dealt becomes a wild Joker. It randomizes to a random card whenever it's compared. Use it mid-game when you want to change your luck. If the Joker is discarded without matching, it contributes a significant burst of power meter steam. Occasionally a free Joker Hijack event shuffles one into your deck at the start of a game.
Derail Removes two random cards from the board, then sweeps left to right checking for new matches. Can trigger cascades on its own.
Meter Boost Doubles your power meter fill rate for one full game. Activated before the game starts.
Extra Pick Adds one extra card to your Caboose Bonus reveal. Consumed automatically when the bonus round begins.
Switchyard Available at the end of a losing game. Rearranges your remaining cards and sweeps for cascades. Activated from the end-of-game screen if you have one in your inventory.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a new game?

After a game ends, tap the "New Game" button in the end-of-game overlay.

How do I remove ads?

Tap the settings icon (gear) and select "Remove Ads" for a one-time purchase of $4.99. This removes the automatic interstitial ads between games. The optional "watch an ad for a power-up" button remains available to everyone, including purchasers, since it's a voluntary reward.

I purchased Remove Ads but I'm still seeing ads.

Try restoring your purchase from the settings menu. If the issue persists, contact us at the email below with your device model and iOS version.

What is the train icon in the center of the screen?

It tracks your cascade progress for the current game. The three cars (engine, passenger, caboose) fill as your best cascade grows. When all three are filled, you've unlocked the Caboose Bonus for that game.

Why didn't I get a Caboose Bonus this game?

The Caboose Bonus requires a cascade of at least three in a single game. A cascade of one or two will flash the train cars but won't lock them in.

Who is Mac?

Mac is the train conductor. He pops up to celebrate your wins (and grant you a bonus power-up), offers the Switchyard at the end of losing games, and hosts the in-game tutorials.

Where are my statistics stored?

All statistics, power-ups, cosmetics, and achievements are stored locally on your device in an encrypted save file. They are not synced to the cloud or shared with anyone.

Can I reset my statistics?

Currently, statistics cannot be reset. This feature may be added in a future update.

I updated from v1 and my stats are missing.

Your v1 statistics, cosmetic selections, and win count should migrate automatically. Achievements earned before v2 (such as win milestones) are also granted retroactively. If something looks wrong, please contact us.

Is there sound?

Yes. Make sure your device is not in silent mode. You can adjust the sound volume or disable sounds from the settings menu (gear icon).
