About
A one-person software studio, unhurried and fond of home.
Named after a place that mattered
Leslie Street is a street in Dorchester, Massachusetts. It is not a metaphor. It is a place — and places carry memory in a way that invented names do not.
Leslie Street Studio is named after a neighborhood that had identity. That specificity is deliberate. The studio is not a brand exercise or a vehicle for a portfolio. It is a name attached to real memory — which is the only kind of name worth having.
The studio is based in Upton, Massachusetts, and operates as a single-person LLC. There are no investors, no growth targets, and no roadmap driven by anything other than what seems worth building.
Forest green and warm gold
The primary colors of Leslie Street Studio — forest green and warm gold — come from the founder's Boston high school, a place that shaped the formative years. The palette has been modernized and refined, but the origin is deliberate.
It is the same reason the studio has a name tied to a real place: the things that last are the things that mean something. Generic has no memory.
Craft over speed
Every app published under the Leslie Street Studio name is built with care. That means apps are released when they are ready — not on a schedule, not under pressure to ship, and not before the details are right.
The goal is to build things that are genuinely useful and genuinely well made, and to put them in the world. What that looks like commercially may vary. The standard of work does not.
That is the whole of it.
Intentional
Every decision — from feature scope to type weight — is made on purpose. Nothing is there by accident.
Independent
No outside investment. No partners. No pressure to build anything other than what deserves to be built.
Honest
Pricing is chosen, not defaulted into. Business models are deliberate. No dark patterns, no manufactured urgency, no tricks.
